Bayern Munich travel to Borussia-Park on Friday to take on Borussia Mönchengladbach, in what would be a cracking fixture between two top Bundesliga clubs. Bayern will look to defend their 2 points lead over Leipzig at the top of the table, who in return will face a tricky match against Dortmund on Saturday.

Despite qualifying for the knockout stages of the CL after playing some incredible football, Gladbach find themselves in a difficult situation domestically having failed to win 4 of their last 6 matches. However, they will look to build on their last match after earning all three points against Bielefeld and hope they can be on their best against this Bayern side. Despite losing Thuram after his spitting incident, Gladbach still looks strong with Hofmann and Plea coming back to the lineup.

As for Bayern, offensively they look as scary as ever scoring 44 goals so far this season. They are in doubt of missing Gnabry for this game but that should not be a problem, as Coman looks ready to replace him. On the other end of the pitch, they look a bit shaky. They were 2-0 down at home last weekend, struggling to cope with Mainz’s counters and attacks down the wing, which in my opinion are two of Bayern’s weaknesses this season. However, we had the chance to witness the heroic of the world’s greatest goalkeeper Manuel Neuer who kept his side in the game, giving them a chance to redeem themselves in scoring 5 goals in the second half. Sane scored a much needed Robben like goal with a superb strike from outside to help him gain some momentum.
Flick’s men were trailing in a game for the eight consecutive time, something Rose will be looking at to exploit their defensive vulnerability. On the bright side, they will no longer have to deal with the absence of their ‘Mr. Versatile’ Joshua Kimmich, who returned to the team with a goal against Mainz. His partnership with Goretzka in the midfield is one of Europe’s best, as Flick will look to have the latter back after shaking off some muscular issues.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR IN THIS GAME?
Who will stop Robert Lewandowski? The prolific striker is one goal away from reaching the 20 mark and is in the best form of his life. Imagine scoring so many goals before the halfway point of the season, which is one of the reasons Lewa will feel hard done by when it comes to the Ballon d’or and the decision to cancel it. He has been in a blistering form, helping Bayern to yet another treble last season.
Sommer Vs. Neuer! Who comes on top? Both are worldclass keepers and will look to be on top of their game this Friday. However, in my opinion and due to Bayern’s strong attacking displays, Sommer will be more involved in this game and must be ready if Gladbach are going to have a chance.
