Buyout Market

2021 NBA Trade Center – Everything You Need To Know. With a lot of teams currently struggling, especially the Lakers, the buyout market could potentially be the life saver for them. Let’s take a look at the best in the Market. The most talked about player was Blake Griffin, who completed a buyout agreement with the Detroit Pistons and signed with the Brooklyn Nets. So who else is still available?

  1. Andre Drummond: Cleveland and Drummond did not work well for both, as the Cavs are looking to ship the Center. In addition, Jarrett Allen has been balling and they want to give him more playing time. So who will be the perfect fit for Andre? The Lakers probably, who are dissapointed with Gasol so far and are looking for a big man. But can they match his salary?
  2. LaMarcus Aldridge: The San Antonio Spurs have made it clear that LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan are available via trade. However, only few teams showed interest in Aldridge. Where is the best place to go? Rumor has it that it’s between the Celtics and Miami Heat, with Boston the favorites as they could offer him a primary frontcourt role in their offense.
  3. JJ Redick: With JJ headed for the buyout market, the Pelicans are also increasing their Lonzo trade specualtions. Could he be headed out via trade? As for Redick, the Knicks looks like the most suitable team for him, as they are in search for a perimeter shooter. Will it happen?
  4. Otto Porter Jr.: In addition to him, Chicago appears willing to discuss a Markkanen trade as well. However, his injury history remain a problem for many.
  5. George Hill: Both Los Angeles teams and Philadelphia have expressed interest in Hill. However, it doesn’t seem like the OKC will reach a buyout agreement with him, as it is not their “policy”. As one assistant general manager said on awarding buyouts to veterans :” That is not OKC’s M.O.”. Maybe that will drive one of these contenders to splurge for Hill before the deadline?

Trade Rumors

Now we finally get to the interesting part. The NBA trade rumors. With so many names on the market, the rumors also increase. However, we will look at the most mentioned trades and most likely to happen.

Raptors discussing Lowry, Powell with multiple teams:

Toronto is discussing potential deals for guard Kyle Lowry and forward Norman Powell, according to the league. The 76ers and Heat are believed to be among the teams with interest, but it’s unknown how far each would go to pull off a trade for either player. Should Toronto trade Lowry? If so, who is the best team to engage with?

Houston’s Likely To Move Oladipo:

Victor Oladipo started 2020-21 with the Indiana Pacers, got dealt to the Houston Rockets in the James Harden mega-trade and could be on the move again. The Miami Heat and New York Knicks are pursuing the former All-Star, but are hesitant to offer a “premium package”. Who should sign him?

Pacers reportedly listening to offers for Brogdon

Unlike Myles Turner, the Pacers seems to be willing to let Brogdon leave for less. Indiana feel Caris LeVert can handle the point guard duties, as they search for an offer for Malcolm. The LA Clippers could be a potential suitor for Brogdon, should they go for it?

Magic want first-round pick for Gordon:

Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon has reportedly asked to be traded from there and it appears the Boston Celtics may be the current leaders to land him. In addition, the Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers are in pursuit for him as well. However, Orlando are seeking a first-rounder and a young asset in return for Gordon. Evan Fournier could be involved as well.

What Are The Things To Watch For?

Next up, lets have a look at what could potentially happen in the trade market and what impact will it have on the league.

  1. Kyle Lowry: What happens if Lowry got traded? Kyle could be the “game changer” so many teams are after. If he leaves Toronto and end up in Miami or Philadelphia, this could change the landscape of the league, or at least the Eastern Conference. He might be the player with the most impact on the market.
  2. LA Lakers: With both AD and Lebron out, the Lakers could be active on the market. Can they get some much needed shooting help? They rank 27th in the league in 3-point production and 22nd in 3-point percentage. The purple and gold are in desperate need of help. Who is the perfect for them?
  3. Contending Teams: All of this year’s contenders have flaws. The Lakers and Sixers need offense. The Nets need defense. The Clippers need someone who can organize an offense. The Bucks need depth. The Heat and Celtics need power forwards. The Nuggets and Blazers both feel a piece short. Who can afford to make a move in this market?

Conclusion:

2021 NBA Trade Center – Everything You Need To Know. In the end, there are so many speculations to talk about. Can Dallas find help for Luka? Will Denver be able to trade for Oladipo and go all the way this year? Can the Wizards keep Beal and become contenders? What do you think?
